Build Green: Build Smart. Build Communities

Singapore has declared 2018 as the Year of Climate Action. It will be a milestone year for green building development as well as zero energy and zero carbon initiatives. The built environment sector is going through rapid changes, brought about by various smart initiatives to raise productivity, improve energy performance and enhance our quality of life. But even as we tap on smarter and more efficient solutions, we need to rally stakeholders and users to come together as a community to help drive the green building agenda. With this goal in mind, Building and Construction Authority (Singapore), together with our strategic partners, Singapore Green Building Council and Reed Exhibitions, are pleased to announce the theme for IGBC 2018 - "Build Green: Build Smart. Build Communities".

Organised by the Building and Construction Authority, the Singapore Green Building Week (SGBW) will play host to international green building experts, policy-makers, academics, built environment practitioners, tenants and end-users, including members of the public and students, for a congregation of ideas, collaboration, partnership and learning, to achieve a shared vision of a greener planet through the green building movement.

The SGBW 2018 will host a myriad of other co-located events and activities during the week, offering participants great opportunities to connect with a vast international network of private and public sector players. This year, the addition of new co-located events in SGBW are also reaching out further to engage wider audiences who will also play key roles in greening the built environment.
